In this game, giving a villager at least 2 gifts per week strengthens your friendship level. Therefore, we suggest you give Clint the same treatment. A birthday gift (26th of Winter) is 8 times effective, so endeavor not to forget this.

Clint cherishes anything other Stardew Valley villagers cherish. Clint is most pleased with Topaz, Geode, Amethyst, Fiddlehead Risotto, Aquamarine, Ruby, Gold Bar, Emerald, Jade, Artichoke Dip, and Iridium Bar.

He also likes Iron Bar and Copper Bar and becomes neutral to Hazelnut, Common Mushroom, Gold Ore, Chanterelle, Dandelion, Refined Quartz, Winter Root, Daffodil, Iridium Ore, Purple Mushroom, Snow Yam, Leek, Coal, and Morel.

Clint dislikes Wild Horseradish, Salmonberry, or Quartz. Also, don’t ever give him Holly and other universal Hates because he totally dislikes such gifts.

Quests

Clint Quests Stardew Valley

The first ever quest you would get from Clint would be after earning a piece of Copper Core. He will give you a reward of blueprints to crafting your own furnace.

This is a quest where Clint would be sending you a letter on the 6th of Winter. In this letter, he would plead with you to help him deliver an Amethyst to his crush Emily since he is too shy. There is also a reward after delivering the message which is 1 extra friendship heart.

Also, Clint would request you to deliver an Iron Bar to him at exactly 17th of Winter. Its reward includes an additional friendship heart plus 500 in gold.

Always check out the “Help Wanted” board situated just beside the Store. In case he needs coal or ore, he would place it on the board. Each item holds a reward of 3 times more of the default gold reward with an additional 150 friendship points. This board serves as a communication medium used by all villagers in getting what they want.

However, it is important to note that all items giving to Clint before any quest doesn’t matter or affect the quest. Also, some version provides the chance of cheating a little in the game. You can drop every item collected in the chest and later come back for it. From version PC v1.11, this cheat cannot be used.

Occasionally, Clint might require your services in slaying some monsters located in the mines. Each monster you slay comes with different reward sizes.
