How to Craft Frost Early – Warframe

A guide on how to craft/acquire the Frost Warframe early in the game.

Introduction

Hi there! My name is Roast McToast. You may know me from my several TF2 guides.

I’ve been playing Warframe a lot recently, and I just finished building my Frost Warframe. Now, most of you may already have this Warframe by farming it in the endgame (Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, etc.)

But what if I told you that you could get this guy very early into the game?

That’s right, you can get Frost without the hassle of going into the endgame! And I’m here to show you how. Let’s get started, shall we?

Getting the Blueprints

First of all, you gotta get those darn blueprints before you can get Mr. Freeze Frost. Fortunately, Frost’s blueprints are very easy to find!

You just have to follow these steps:

  1. Get to Mars.
  2. Unlock the Assassination mission.
  3. Continually kill the target of the Assassination mission, Lt. Lech Kril. Repeatedly do this until you get the blueprints for the chassis, the neuroptics, and the systems.
  4. Buy the Frost blueprint off the Market. (Don’t worry, it only costs credits. No Platinum needed here.)
  5. You’re done!

Getting the Chassis

Now that you’ve got the blueprints, you can get to crafting the parts. In my opinion, the Chassis is the easiest to get out of all 3 components.

Just follow these steps:

  1. Get to Mercury and farm 1 Morphic & 1000 Ferrite.
  2. Go to Earth and farm 300 Rubedo.
  3. You’re done!

Getting the Neuroptics

The Neuroptics aren’t very hard to acquire, but aren’t easy either.

Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to Earth and farm 500 Rubedo.
  2. Go to Mercury and farm 150 Polymer Bundles.
  3. Get to Venus and farm 150 Alloy Plates.
  4. Go to Jupiter and farm 1 Neural Sensor.
  5. You’re done!

Getting the Systems

The Systems are by far, the hardest to get. However, follow these instructions and you’ll be fine:

  1. Get to Mars and farm 1 Morphic and 500 Salvage.
  2. Get to the Orokin Void through Phobos and get 1 Control Module.
  3. Get someone to taxi* you to Saturn OR get all the way to Saturn by yourself.
  4. Farm 500 Plastids.
  5. You’re Get to Ceres and get a single Orokin Cell.

*(A taxi is to ask for someone to group up with you and play a mission that you cannot access.)

Getting an Orokin Cell

Congrats! You’ve got everything you need, minus one.

You still need to get an Orokin Cell, A very rare resource (in my opinion). Follow these 2 steps and you’ll get it with no problems.

  1. Get to Ceres and get a single Orokin Cell.
  2. Done!

Putting it All Together!

For real this time, congrats! You’ve got everything. Now you just have to craft it! Go into your foundry, and craft each part, and then craft the Frost. Bear in mind, it’ll take 12 hours for each part (unless you do them at the same time) and 72 hours for the actual Frost.

Once you’re done, bask in the greatness that you have crafted! Be proud that you have gotten Frost the legitimate way!

Then cry after seeing the people who bought Frost.

Updates!

Seeing as how Warframe is an amazing game that gets constantly updated with bug fixes, new Warframes/items, and changes to drop rates/item stats, this guide at some point in time may become outdated. That’s where you come in!

I unfortunately play Warframe slightly less nowadays, but I still play it nonetheless. If any of you find a better way to acquire the materials needed for each part and/or the Frost Warframe in general, then comment it down below! I’ll change the guide accordingly to your feedback.
