This guide will be focusing on killing the Eidolon Teralyst doing it solo or with a squad, so let’s get started
Your Operator
If you want to defeat an Eidolon efficiently, you’re gonna need a decent Operator. If you don’t have a lot of Focus, I recommend only going the Madurai school and try to max out Void Strike to do as much damage as you can to the Eidolon’s shield. Unairu with Unarui wisps is also a good option for squad play.
Amp
For your Amp, if you’re fairly new to the plains and haven’t ranked up Quills as much, just got for a 1-1-1 Amp. It’s still ALOT better than the Mote Amp. If you do have quills standing to at least rank 3, use the 2-2-3 Amp. If you’re having trouble getting Cetus Wisps, do the hardest bounty to get 2 almost every run.
Arcanes
For your Operator Arcane, use Magus Vigor x2 or use Magus Vigor and Magus Husk for max survivability. For your Amp Arcane use Virtuos Fury and Virtuos Strike for maximum damage.
Your Warframe
When Eidolon hunting SOLO, use a DPS frame. If you have a good weapon with a solid riven then use a support frame like Trinity or use Gara. Other than that here’s a list of Meta DPS frames you can use.
Chroma Prime
Chroma has one of the best self damage buffs in the game along with his decent EHP. Build for as much power strength as you can along with duration. Use a self damaging weapon to reach your fury buff consistently.
Rhino Prime
Rhino also has an amazing damage buff, tied to Chroma. Build for Strength and Duration to get the best out of Roar and also use Iron Skin to be immune to the Eidolon’s attack.
Volt Prime
Volt has a good critical buff and both your frame and Operator benefit from his shields. Build for Volt’s Shield to maximize your critical damage.
Octavia
Although she’s really squishy, she has a good Damage buff. Like Rhino, her Damage buff can easily affect other teammates maximizing the entire team’s damage output.
Mesa
Although she’s not as used as the others. She has a good Damage buff that cycles between squadmates and has amazing damage resistance with her Shattershield.
As for support frames if you’re playing with a Squad…
Trinity Prime
Can manage lures easily and provide her squad with a 75% Damage Resistance with her blessing and can heal them consistently.
Harrow
Provides squad with immunity from the Eidolon’s energy spike and has a amazing critical buff for his teammates.
Oberon Prime/Limbo Prime
These two frames can be substitutes for Trinity and Harrow. Limbo can protect from the Eidolon’s energy spike although he provides no buffs, and Oberon can heal his teammates and can make him and his allies immune from the magnetic proc from the eidolon’s energy spike while using hallowed ground. However his armor buff is outshined by Trinity’s Damage Resistance.
Weapons
The Top 3 weapons for Eidolon Hunting are Lanka, Rubico Prime, and Vectis Prime. If you’re to lazy to get the Rubico Prime or Vectis Prime then just stick with the Lanka. With your sniper rifles, build for Radiation damage, and get as much Critical Chance/Damage as possible. Don’t use Serration if you’re using Chroma because it doesn’t really affect his Fury Buff. With the Lanka, you’re gonna need around 4-5 Forma to get a optimized build with it, the other two snipers will require only about 3.
Arcanes
If you have them just use Arcane Guardian or Arcane Grace for as much survivability.
Now finally…
Steps to correctly kill the Eidolon
When you begin, make sure you ALWAYS get Eidolon Lures. Get 2 if you’re just gonna kill the Teralyst. After you get all the Lures you need, locate the Eidolon and start taking down its shield with your Operator. Always make sure you kill any Vomvalyst you see to avoid the Eidolon gaining any extra shields after they’re taken down. Once the shields are down use your warframe, and apply your buffs and start shooting the limbs. Every time you destroy a limb, enter into your Operator and use void mode to be immune to the Eidolon’s energy spike. Repeat until all the limbs are destroyed. Throughout the fight your lures should be properly charged and the Eidolon shouldn’t be able to retreat after each phase. Once all the limbs are destroyed and Vomvalysts start spawning to heal the Eidolon, kill them so the Eidolon doesn’t heal up to max health. Now, the final phase is really simple, just shoot the Eidolon until it’s dead, and then you’re done!
