A list of all Kurias with images and detailed information on where to find them.
Intro
This guide is dedicated to assist you in finding the 56 Kurias, little statuettes hidden inside various rooms in Warframe. You can consider them as an easter-egg or a secret.
The guide was created in the process of finding all these Kurias by myself and with the help of friends (because it’s actually quite fun to find secrets).
Each scanned Kuria reveals a line of the poem (with a total of 14 stanzas with 4 lines each), adding to the lore of Warframe.
Current status: As of May 26th 2019 I’ve decided to give this guide a long-needed overhaul. It is being worked on when time allows me to do so. You can contribute to this guide by leaving tips in the comment section.
Searching them by yourself
If you want to go hunting the Kurias by yourself, you should only read these tips:
- Turn up your sound effects-volume.
Kurias emit a distinctive sound you will be able to recognize after you’ve found a few. The best way to describe it is that they sound like they’re “glowing” and emitting energy. Kind of like the Nirnroots in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Unlike those however you have to get closer in order to be able to hear them. - Turn down your music-volume.
You don’t want that annoying music to play over your glorious Kuria sounds. - Don’t forget codex scanners.
First of all: You will obviously need those in order to scan them.
Second: Like most scannable objects, unscanned Kurias glow when looking through the scanner (their glow however is gold/yellow like unscanned enemies, not green). Kurias you’ve already scanned won’t get highlighted on your scanner anymore.
The scanning range is 50 meters, any Kurias (and objects in general) further away than that will neither be highlighted nor will you be able to scan them. - Some Kurias appear in specific mission types only.
- Don’t forget: Kurias are very well-hidden.
You should always keep this in mind when searching form them. Don’t give up your search simply because you’re too sloppy. You can find Kurias in the most ridiculous places and often you will be blown away by the audacity DE had while placing them. That one Kuria near Earth extraction(!) - Speaking of audacious:
There are Kurias in underwater Archwing and you can find more than one Kuria in a single room.
01
1. A STORY ONCE LOST
This room is easy to identify by the pipes above.
A bit higher up you’ll be able to find a bridge leading to a room.
Said room features the Kuria on top of a barrel.
- Tileset: Corpus Gas City
- Mission type: Any
2. RECOVERED BY FATE
This room used to be fairly big, but is now medium-sized. There is a big abyss to the left.
This screenshot was taken from the abyss. Note that there’s a higher platform to walk on attached to the “pillar” in the middle.
The Kuria is on top of said pillar.
- Tileset: Corpus Gas City
- Mission type: Any
3. THE TALE OF TWO SISTERS
This room is what I call the “jungle” cave. It barely has any exposure to the sky and there’s lots of growth inside the area.
The best way to find this Kuria is to search for the waterfall and align yourself so the river is to your right like in this image. Note the grineer panels in the top left corner. This is where the Kuria hides.
You might have to step aside as it can be covered easily by those branches.
- Tileset: Grineer Forest
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Excavation, Mobile Defense
4. WHO BORE THE SAME FACE
This Kuria can only be found inside one of the spy vaults on Earth.
Hop on the zipline and walk through the waterfall in the middle.
After walking though the waterfall just go into the back room behind the corridor. The Kuria is hidden by a lot of stuff.
- Tileset: Grineer Forest
- Mission type: Spy
02
1. BORN ONE QUIET MORNING
Just jump upwards, you will eventually find it.
- Tileset: Corpus Gas City
- Mission type: Any
2. AMIDST THE GREAT WAR
This room has a giant, arcing generator thingy in it.
The Kuria is on top. Careful, the electricity can hurt you.
- Tileset: Corpus Gas City
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Mobile Defense
3. ALL ELDERS WERE GATHERED
When spawning on top of the tower, break the air-vent to jump down below and you’re almost there.
- Tileset: Corpus Gas City
- Mission type: Any
4. FOR THIS LIFE’S NEW DAWN
This Kuria can be found on one of Earth’s extraction tiles.
The Kuria down below to the left of the extraction platform (don’t get too close).
It can be safely scanned from the ledge above, but you can manage to land down there with a jump.
- Tileset: Grineer Forest
- Mission type: Any
03
1. CONFUSED AND BEWILDERED
In the ‘pillar’-room up really high.
- Tileset: Grineer Galleon
- Mission type: Any
2. THEY JUDGED THEM AMISS
In the generator-room with the pillar in the middle look up to the lockers. You will be able to find a Kuria in one of the small bays.
- Tileset: Grineer Galleon
- Mission type: Any
3. FOR THEY NEVER WITNESSED
When walking inside this room, walk downwards and get into the first door to your left. On your left side should be two crates stacked ontop of each other. Climb them and find your Kuria. If you have to walk upwards when entering the room, go into the last door on your right.
- Tileset: Grineer Galleon
- Mission type: Any
4. TWO SELF-SAME AS THESE
This Kuria was previously found in a Deception mission and has been moved to a new location. The room has some stairs leading up.
Simply go up the stairs and you can see a platform from there.
I wonder what happened to the Grineer holding that Kuria. Anyway, thank you to Claviculus for giving me a good description.
- Tileset: Grineer Forest
- Mission type: Any
04
1. A MIRRORED REFLECTION
Simply walk to the end of the room and jump into the water. This Kuria is hard to miss. Also take note of the awesome screenshot I was able to take thanks to Warframe bugging out (hence me standing midair with my Arch-gun out). Luckily Kebabthief could finish the mission for me.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Capture
2. HAD COME INTO LIFE
As soon as Kebabthief told me he found one in this room, I knew where to look. Pretty easy one here.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
3. BY WILL OF THEIR FATHER
This is a common room and can be found within any mission.
This one appeared inside a Mobile Defense mission. I guess it’s a quite common in Mobile Defense missions, so you might be better off finding that Kuria there.
Both rooms contain this weird apparatus with the Kuria ontop of it.
This is the first time I’ve encountered the same Kuria in 2 different rooms. Grineer Sealab seems to be a weird place with a lot of strange room/object/mission-relations (hard to put that into words). To give you an example: There seem to be alternatives of certain rooms with broken pipes etc… I still need to figure this out.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Mobile Defense
4. KEPT SAFE FROM THE KNIFE
Nothing much to say on this one. The room itself has a kind of unique mechanic. When you are standing in the middle and looking on the close walls, you may notice two ‘levers’. Shoot both of these and you can get access to a somewhat secret room.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
05
1. THE SAMENESS WAS SHUNNED
Rather complex Kuria here, when coming into this room, walk up the stairs until you see a yellow console.
Hack the console before jumping down into the water.
The door is now open revealing the Kuria. Thanks to Kebabthief for working that out, I didn’t realize the console was part of it and thought it was just a similar room.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
2. AS SLAVE-LIKE AND SOILED
You can recognize this room by the fountain in the middle. Kuria is pretty easy to find.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
3. THEY TENDED THEIR STRAYS
Thank you once again to Terror for finding that Kuria. This room is easy to identify by the 4 small, yellow Grineer holograms. The Kuria is hidden inside one of the broken pipes.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
4. REJECTED BY ALL
Can be a bit tricky to get to. Jump on the platform first and then simply walk up the corals.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
06
1. AS BOTH GIRLS MATURED
This is the Grineer sealab rescue room (thank you to Archangel Arbie2 for pointing that out). The Kuria is hidden on the left side, you only need to get on one of the cables. Also this room is where you get Clem.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Rescue
2. THEIR BOND GREW IN DEPTH
One of the two sabotage rooms (the other one contains the Manic Bombard).
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Sabotage
3. THEY HAD THE SAME POISE
The room has a large shipwreck in the middle and poisonous mushrooms (pulsing gas clouds) that can easily kill you, so stay away from them. It’s hard to describe where the Kuria is in that room but luckily there aren’t many pillars to search for. This one was pretty mean, as I’ve been scanning the entire room on multiple occasions and never found it. Kebabthief then found it in a couple minutes.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
4. SAME SENSES, SAME STRENGTH
Pretty rare archwing room, we ran across that one randomly. There’s a ship cruising around with a laser. The Kuria is hidden towards the open end (to the left if you’re trying to swim out) and seated on the black rock between two … ummm… coral thingies.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: The Second Dream (quest)
07
1. THE UPRISING CAME
This is a pretty common passage. When facing the generator, step in front of the control console and look to the left.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
2. AND SPREAD LIKE A WEED
This one can only be found in the defense-room. It is to the left of the pipes.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Defense
3. AN ARMY OF COPY-MEN
This one is a really mean Kuria as it is close to the extraction and the second (technically the first as it is higher up in the list) Kuria in a rather small room. Be careful if you’re playing alone or all the other people are already at extraction, because stepping a bit too far to the side will immediately end the mission in case the objective has already been completed.
This is the second out of two Kurias (the first being Kuria 2-4) I got spoilered. I don’t think I would ever have found that one myself.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
4. FEROCIOUS AND FREE
Near the extraction.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
08
1. AND MUCH LIKE THE SEA
This one is a bit tricky to find. If you’re looking down from the higher-located generator to the lower one, you can find the Kuria on a ledge to the right side of the narrow passage.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
2. THEY CAME JUST LIKE WAVES
Searched in this room like a maniac during a nightmare mission but couldn’t find a thing after 10 minutes. Terror found that Kuria in less than 20 seconds. The entrance is really hard to see when you’re not up close.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
3. FOR YEARS THEY FOUGHT ON
The second Kuria in the same room (with the energy generator thingy in the middle). Ironically, I found this one.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
4. FOR YEARS WE REMAINED
I ran past this one far too often. Bullet-jump on the second (higher) rock pillar.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
09
1. LIKE CHISEL TO STONE
On top of one of the pillars in the ‘desert’ tile.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
2. WAR MOLDED THE TWINS
This room is a generic end-tile and can be found anywhere under water (credits to Claviculuswuluwus for the research).
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
3. WHO RAVAGED THE HORDES
One of the spawn rooms for the Grineer settlement tileset. This room is guaranteed to appear if you select a defense mission. Just climb on top of the crane.
- Tileset: Grineer Settlement
- Mission type: Any
4. BECAME LEGEND TO THEM
I don’t know what to write here. Eat a snickers.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
10
1. THEY HAD A DEEP STRENGTH
This room is quite rare. The Kuria is hidden in the ground, you can easily scan it.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
2. THAT CAME FROM EACH OTHER
This room is surprisingly common and the Kuria is on the pipes to the right of the lava. It will be one of the first you will encounter on Ceres.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
3. UNLIKE ALL THESE COPIES
This is self-explanatory. Thanks to Terror for finding this one. The only reason you’re seeing text here is because there’s some weird formatting bug with lists and I have to write something because I don’t want it too look messy.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
4. IDENTICAL, BUT NOT BROTHERS
On top of the right fan over the door.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
11
1. THE COPIES COULD SEE IT
Follow the corridor to your right when you come in. This dead-end is was guaranteed to spawn in this particular extraction-room (which seems to be the best place to find it in). Props to Fox the Undead for telling me in the comments, that this is a generic dead-end and can be found in other rooms aswell. This room could also previously be found in Orokin Sabotage missions.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
2. THEY YEARNED FOR IT TOO
This one..! In the same room as the next Kuria, except I completely missed this one. Terror found it and I didn’t believe it until I found the Kuria myself later. Props to DE for that one.
I think this room might only show up as a branch to a certain extraction room.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
3. IF THE TWINS COULD DO IT
Still in the same room as the previous Kuria. The second I looked up, I knew there would be a Kuria appearing on my scanner. I was absolutely right. Also, you can climb really high into this room. The Kuria is somewhere in the middle.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
4. PERHAPS THEY COULD TOO
I ran past the Kuria inside this room a couple of times before I almost accidentally noticed it on my scanner. This one was a real surprise.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
12
1. THE TWINS HAD ATTAINED
Props to Terror for finding that one. Simply stand below the platform and bullet-jump straight up. It’s a bit tricky to get to, because not even a few feet above is an invisible ceiling and you don’t have a lot of options to wall-jump up there.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
2. SOMETHING MORE THAN A WHOLE
This is a pretty rare end-room but it’s usually connected to another room over rails, so watch out for those. Go up towards the console and halfway there you will see a stairway that leads beneath. The Kuria is under the last flight of stairs. As lyravega pointed out, this room requires a room with rails in order to spawn, one of which is more common to spawn in Mobile Defense. Big thanks to him!
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Mobile Defense
3. A TRUE UNDERSTANDING
This is an uncommon apparently a super-rare extraction-room. Be careful when playing on solo because you might accidentally end the mission before you get to scan the Kuria. There is a ledge on the left cliff that you can stand on. Move along until you can get a glimpse of the Kuria (credits go to sp!r!tst0ne and Total Takeover for figuring this out). Caution: don’t get struck by a lightning!
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
4. OF EACH OTHER SOUL
The last one! I knew there’d be two Kurias in this room and I finally found it in a mission where I had enough time to search for it. This one took me pretty long, because I never got this room when I was playing on Ceres every week or so. I knew I had to search this room again and the stars finally aligned!
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Capture
13
1. THE COPIES BECAME BELIEVERS
This Kuria was a big surprise to me, as I almost missed it. Scanned the entire room finding nothing and then suddenly hear it as I’m bullet-jumping out of the room. It can be found in the same room as the previous Kuria.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Capture
2. ONE BY ONE BOWED TO THE TWINS
So after taking a lot of runs through Ceres in order to find new Kurias, Kebabthief told me he found a new one and tried to describe it. That was Kuria 12-2 but it made me remember this particular room with the three cranes which I only ever saw once. So after finishing a lot of missions on Ceres and almost giving up, thinking I did something wrong I FINALLY FOUND IT. This has to be (in my opinion) the rarest room I have encountered so far.
I immediately got a feeling the Kuria would be ontop of the cranes and there it was, smiling at me. It’s pretty easy to get up there but from my memory of that room I was already so sure I’d find it up there, it felt like fulfilling a prophecy.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
3. AND LED FORTH BY THEIR NEW MASTERS
This Kuria can be found in the exact same room as the Kuria above. Let me go ahead and tell you that I had to watch a video guide in order to find this one for the following reasons:
- This room is so rare, I saw it as my only chance to ever encounter it
- It’s pretty big and I got a feeling there’d be two Kurias in this room
- Two consecutive Kurias still missing at that point reinforced my idea
- I was getting tired after searching for 10 minutes (enemies got annoying)
I started watching the video and realized I was right: There absolutely is a Kuria in this room! I stopped the video before I knew where exactly to look (I just needed that motivation-boost) and searched it by myself…
for 30 minutes…
I did not find it.
Being disappointed in myself, I started up the video again but this time watched it in full length.
Out of all the Kurias I collected so far, all seemed fair in some way. Some were easy, others were hard, but I always felt like I achieved something. Every time my friends found a Kuria faster than me or got one that I missed it gave me motivation to try better next time.
BUT THIS KURIA…
It’s more than 50 meters away from the next platform so it doesn’t show up on the scanner.
It’s up so high, the engine just fails the lighting and your character model turns black.
It’s so far away from the enemies, they just stop moving at all.
It’s just…
wrong.
I can’t explain how to get up there, took me 5 minutes. Just try your best. Good luck.
- Tileset: Grineer Shipyard
- Mission type: Any
4. THEY RAVAGED THE COLONIES
One of the most recognizable rooms in Grineer Sealab-tileset. The Kuria is hidden pretty well and was a pain to search for. It’s found high up on the pipes before walking up the slope. There’s also a small hole in the wall near it.
This particular one is really confusing, I didn’t expect it to be found in the Sealab-tileset, but on either Corpus Outpost or Grineer Settlement. It really throws me off, because it completely destroys the pattern I started to recognize… maybe it’s just an exception.
- Tileset: Grineer Sealab
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Survival

1. NOW A POWER TO FOLLOW
I suspected a Kuria to be in this room (especially down there) but couldn’t find one after searching for 10 minutes and gave up, thinking there would be none in there. Guess I was wrong because this room does indeed have a Kuria, I was just to clumsy to find it in the first go. (Thank you to egk2 for pointing that out in the comments)
- Tileset: Corpus Outpost
- Mission type: Any
- Recommendation: Excavation
2. NOT A FORCE TO BE FOUGHT
When going towards extraction, walk down the small hill and go to the left, where you will be able to find a cave (it can be hard to find depending on where you are standing). Go in there until you see a pile of scrap. The Kuria is behind the container and could be a bit tricky to scan.
- Tileset: Corpus Outpost
- Mission type: Any
3. FROM THE ASHES OF WAR
In the corpus room with the see-through elevator. If you’re walking towards the elevator, look to your right before entering it. Up on the ledge you will be able to find the Kuria.
- Tileset: Corpus Outpost
- Mission type: Any
4. THE TWIN QUEENS WERE WROUGHT
You sometimes spawn inside this room, it has a platform with one door above and one door below it. The Kuria can be found ontop of the door to your right when you’re walking downstairs from the platform.
- Tileset: Corpus Outpost
- Mission type: Any

Rewards
I just received this as of update 17.5.
Apparently it requires you to find at least half the Kurias.
It really is a shame this beautiful badge is only a sprite (and thus might be written off as just a random clan-emblem by other people). It would have been really awesome if this would have been a big sigil to stick on your back or your chest. Maybe some kind of animation or maybe a 3D-model like the Sevati Sekhara would have really shown off the effort that went into finding the Kurias. At least it’s better than nothing.
As of update 19(DOT)something, you will now get a Kuria-glyph after scanning a certain amount 42 (75%) Kurias (thank you Monoblos).
Those can be used either as your profile icon
or as a wallpaper.
Spread the message, spread the love. I will not rest until every person has heard about Kurias! (Actually I will probably go to sleep in a few minutes).
5th of February 2016 marks the day I found the last Kuria. Kuria 12-4, not the hardest to find but the one that stayed hidden the longest.
And your reward is:
Your own Kuria! You can place the little guy in your ship, just like a noggle. Sadly it doesn’t make any sound.
Just look at that cute little guy.
“I can’t find this room!”
I’ve seen some complaints about people not encountering certain Kurias/rooms at all.
The most mentioned ones are (top = rarest):
- 12-2
- 12-3
- 13-2 & 13-3
- 1-2
- 6-3
- 6-4
Yes, these rooms are ridiculously rare.
Yes, I know it’s frustrating.
Yes, I was having as much trouble as you finding them.
I (and a few other people) can only tell you the following: don’t waste your time looking for that one Kuria and just run missions you want to do on that tileset. You will find it eventually.
